A Happy Family Christmas
His mother wasn't fooled by his hidding place
"Ryan, get out here," Midge said. "Now! Or Santa won't be visiting you this Christmas"
"Coming mom," he
said softly.
Ryan put his head in Midge's lap and cried.
"I'm sorry mommy, I'll never ever hide my dress clothes again."
"But why did you?"
"I hate dressing up. Dress shirts are really tight around the neck, you can barely run in the shoes and if they get scuffed just a little bit, you get in trouble."
"Ryan, stay
here a minute, I have something to show you."
"Wow, Mommy you're beautiful," Ryan said when his mother came back.
"Maybe," Midge said with a grin. "But I'm certainly not comfortable. "Listen Ryan, we only want you to dress for a few pictures, then you can come home and wear whatever you want."
"Really?"
"Yes," his mother said. "And I bet you're as handsome in your suit as I am pretty in this dress."
Ryan giggled.
"Now go upstairs so your daddy can get you washed and dressed."
And he went...
"Glad my clothes is okay," Ryan said.
"I am too," Alan said. "Your mom would have been really upset. She's been looking forward to having nice pictures to share of her family."
"And I almost ruined it."
"It's okay son, we all make mistakes."
