Harry Potter’s Pirate Adventure
Harry: Todd, you hit him with a block. Anakin, You alright?
Anakin: Yeah, I’m okay. (to Todd) That’s cheating.
Todd: I’m sorry, didn’t mean to hurt you. I mean I know I cheated, but that’s because I’m turning to the dark side.
Anakin: But we said I’m the master, you are the padawan and therefore
you should respect me.
Harry: Anakin’s right.
Todd: Did Anakin respect Obi-Wan after he turned into Vader and he killed him?
Anakin: Of course he did, that’s why he had to face him the way he did.
He didn’t call on Storm Troopers or even want anyone to interfere. He faced him
in a fair duel, with lightsabers.
Todd: But he still killed him.
Anakin: Actually, Obi-Wan became one with the force before Vader struck his final blow.
Big Anakin: Good observation little Ani.
Boys: Anakin Skywalker.
Todd: The big one.
Anakin: Hi big Anakin, I was just explaining the finer points of Star Wars to Todd and Harry.
Todd: And I was just explaining that Vader did kill Obi-Wan.
Anakin: No he didn’t.
(The boys argued back and forth about it again)
Big Anakin: BOYS!
(The boys got silent when big Anakin spoke, as they always did. He could be one intimidating guy.)
Big Anakin: Todd, Did you ever think about how killing a man who had been like a father to him might have affected Anakin?
Todd: I figured he didn’t care at that point.
Big Anakin: Think about this, if Vader had struck that final blow, it might have truly killed him inside, taken away that last bit of humanity that was left inside of him. And maybe that last bit of humanity that Obi-Wan kept him from losing was just the seed Luke needed to be left behind in order to save his father.
Harry: Whoa, Star Wars is deep.
Anakin: Always told you so.
Big Anakin: Now I have to get ready to meet Padme at the ‘Sweethearts Picnic’, you boys play fair.
