Sophia’s Story
After stopping for some food, they parked to enjoy the meal and talk some more.
Sophia: ...Favorite fantasy movie?
Andrea: 'Lord of the Rings' of course.
Sophia: For me is was always 'The Neverending Story'.
Andrea: With the flying dog?
Sophia: It was a luck Dragon. I love 'Lord of the Rings', but 'The Neverending Story' was my movie. And when I finally bought the book I found out the movie is only like half the book. The feeling is so much more intense in the book. I mean, I felt I was sort of a Bastian.
Andrea: What do you mean?
Sophia: Well, I'd rather bury myself in some fantasy world than face reality. I mean, I've never even been in love. I know Kylie's hurting right now, but she's been there, for real, up on that cloud where no one can touch you. And me, I'm going on Twenty-one and I've never even been kissed.
Andrea: Never?! That's really hard to believe. You're beautiful.
(Sophia didn't quite know how to respond to this, but she felt butterflies in her stomach that had never been there before)
