(Soon after his sister left, his mother came in)
Mrs. Hill: Hey Honey, I hear you’re having trouble with that girl you like.
Benny: Tina’s got a big mouth.
Mrs. Hill: You know Ben, there are other girls.
Benny: Oh yeah, who you got in mind.
Mrs. Hill: Stacy Ann Stevens.
Benny: Stacy!?
Mrs. Hill: You probably have more in common with Stacy than you do with Kim Wilson.
Benny: What do we have in common exactly? Besides, Stacy and Kim hang out, they’re like the best of friends most days, anything I’d have in common with Stacy, I’d probably have in common with Kim.
Mrs. Hill: And Kim refused you. Why not take a chance on Stacy?
Benny: Stacy’s into Harold.
Mrs. Hill: Really, her mom didn’t say so.
Benny: What does her mom know?
Mrs. Hill: Benny!!
Benny: I’m just saying, plenty of girls mess with Harold and most of them don’t let their mom and dads know.
Mrs. Hill: Well Stacy’s mother and I think.
Benny: Wait, this is some kind of mom sets us up thing. Make me look like an even bigger loser, why don’t you?
Mrs. Hill: Even when you were little babies we use to put you together and say how cute you would be as a couple one day.
Benny: I don’t think we ever agreed to that.
Mrs. Hill: Just give it chance Ben.
Benny: Fine, I’ll ask her out.
