Mr. Stevens: Shawn Michael Stevens. Why do you keep causing trouble?
Shawn: I don’t know.
Mr. Stevens: I know me and you as father and son is going to take time and work, but those other kids don’t deserve to keep being led into these kind of situations with you. They don’t deserve to get in trouble for just being your friend.
Shawn: I know that, the stuff was on me, I didn’t plant it on them. And the night of the Christmas party, I knew how to open a liquor bottle I just pretended I didn’t.
Mr. Stevens: And your telling me this now because?
Shawn: I want you to know I’d never hurt people I care about, like my friends.
Mr. Stevens: But you would hurt me?
(Shawn doesn’t answer)
Mr. Stevens: What do you want from me?
Shawn: Nothing.
Mr. Stevens: Do you want Zack?
Shawn: No.
Mr. Stevens: I don’t know what to do here. I want to help you, but you have to help me to help you.
