1.10: Confessions
(Back at the Carr House, Sophia and Mrs. Carr were ready to leave and chatting as they waited for Francisco to come back home.)
Mrs. Carr: No, you can’t do that, because she’s out of control. And, more importantly, it won’t make her happy and it will make the other kids unhappy. She actually wants me to fire you. I can’t give her that much control or power over my life.
Sophia: Well, you don’t have to go with me tonight, I can brave it alone.
Mrs. Carr: No, if this is some nut case who was lying to you over the internet I want to be there.
Sophia: What did I do to deserve a friend like you?
Mrs. Carr: I ask myself the same thing all the time.
Sophia: You know, I really don’t want to ruin your relationship with your daughter.
Mrs. Carr: I know, that’s why I don’t mind having you around. I know you care about my kids. Believe me, I don’t just let any and everyone into my life this way.
