1.10: Confessions
(A couple hours later, Sophia was in the midst of a conversation with her internet date, Ashley. She was as nice as she had seemed in their e-mail conversations and far more beautiful than Sophia had suspected.)
Sophia: So, you do illustrations for books?
Ashley: Yeah, mostly for the younger set. I just got hired to do the cover art for ‘Spooky Hallways’.
Sophia: What’s that?
Ashley: A new series of Horror books for teens. It’s about a haunted high school. Can’t give away any more than that.
Sophia: So you like get to read things before they’re published?
(At that moment, quite accidentally, Sophia knocked over her cup. Luckily there wasn’t much in it.)
Sophia: Sorry. I’m a little nervous.
Ashley: It’s okay. You know, instead of constantly glancing over there you could just invite your friend over.
Sophia: What?
