1.18: The Beginning of Summer
(Mrs. Carr had finally had enough of these attacks on character and lifestyle. All that could have been said had been said, it was time to end this.)
Mrs. Carr: What happened between Sophia and myself wasn’t planned and it’s really no one’s business why I’m leaving my husband, but it’s not because of Sophia. As has been said, these issues are personal to me, my family, and Sophia. They do not affect the Day Care. If it’s merely the idea that two women could be together in a serious romantic relationship that offends you, I can’t help you there, pull your children. But don’t think that Kelley Kids Kare is in any way the hot seat of some illicit affair. Its never will be a place where you find anything like that. Now I want to leave the ball in your court. You decide if our parent-teacher relationship with your children can continue. If so, I expect to see your children coming through the doors of Kelly Kids Kare on Monday. If not, well it was a pleasure to work with your children, they’ve bought me a lot of joy. Now thank you for coming. I’m done.
