1.18: The Beginning of Summer
Act III
That night, at the Hill House, Benny celebrated turning 17.

Kim was there but felt quite unwelcome. She thought about speaking to Benny, but couldn’t work up the courage and didn’t quite know what to say.

But most of the kids were enjoying a nice evening of hanging out and socializing.

Mie: I can’t believe it was my mother that started this mess. She is so closed minded. But, on the positive side, she’s overjoyed to have her perfectly straight daughter showing an interest in guys.
Mick: Big bonus for us.
Mie: I thought about freaking her out though and telling her I’m starting to have thoughts about Stephany.
Mick: Why must you push their buttons?
Mie: Cause I’m there teenage daughter. It’s my job. Don’t worry, I wouldn’t do a thing to mess us up now. I love you.
Mick: I love you too. Who would have predicted this at the beginning of the school year?
Mie: I don’t know, I certainly wouldn’t have.

Harold: I never thought I could be happy with one girl.
Sharice: So you’re happy.
Harold: Yeah, I am
Sharice: That’s good to know. Lets do something crazy now that school is over. Tomorrow maybe.
Harold: Cool with me.
