Meanwhile, Sophia was at the apartment with Courtney. She was teaching the little girl how to make cookies.
(They were interrupted by the doorbell ringing. Sophia picked up the little girl and went to answer the door. It was her father and brother.)
Sophia: Dad, Ellis, Hey.
Ellis: Hey sis, this one of Dawn’s kids?
Sophia: No, this is Courtney and she’s mine, sort of.
Bill: What?!
Sophia: I’m kidding, sort of. I’m a semi-foster parent to 3 kids who’s dad found himself in trouble with the law. This little one has a teenage sister who’s currently shopping with kid number 3, a little boy.
Bill: So If she’s your semi-foster daughter, I’m her semi-Grand dad.
Courtney: I no have Granddad.
Bill: You want one?
Courtney: What they do?
Bill: They give you candy and take you out shopping and give you presents and money.
Courtney: I like have a grand-dad.
(Coutney reached for him and Bill took her out of Sophia’s arms.)
Sophia: Jeez dad are you that desperate for Grandkids?
Bill: Yes, so let me enjoy it.
Sophia: Don’t get to comfortable with that title, I don’t know how long this situation will last.
