1.11: Valentines
(Then he leaned over and gave her a quick smooch on the lips.)
(Shawn had never kissed a girl before, so he had no idea what he was doing. But he had resolved himself not to be scared of anything. He’d learned from his mother’s death that you couldn’t depend on tommorow, getting another chance, so he just acted on whatever was in his head at the moment. They both looked at each other a little shocked when it was over.)
(And then they just sat silently together for awhile, enjoying the quiet.)
