1.12: Emotional Rollercoaster
Act III
(Erika met Shawn at the park after school. She found he had set up a pizza and soda picnic, which she thought was kind of cute.)

Erika: Cool, Pizza
Shawn: Not just any Pizza, my dad’s special homemade pizza.
Erika: I didn’t think real chefs like your dad made Pizza.
Shawn: Pizza’s just food like everything else.
Erika: Wait, how’d you get this?
Shawn: My dad made it for our friday night family dinner.
Erika: And you took it?
Shawn: Relax, I’ll say I accidentally knocked it over and threw it away cause I was scared. He’ll never know. And then he’ll pat me up and say ‘It’s okay, he’d never stop loving me because of pizza.’ One good thing about having a dad who feels so guilty about everything is you can get away with anything.
Erika: But you’d still rather be back with your step-dad.
Shawn: I guess, but some good things have come out of moving here.
Erika: Like what.
Shawn: Like you.
Erika: Really?
Shawn: I wouldn’t lie, at least not to you. You’re my girlfriend.

Erika: I am?
Shawn: We kissed, didn’t we?
Erika: Yeah, but I didn’t think… I wasn’t sure.
Shawn: Unless you don’t want to.
Erika: No, I’m not saying, what would it mean?
Shawn: It’d mean we’d hold hands sometime and kiss, but we wouldn’t do those things with other people.
Erika: I’d like that.
