1.12: Emotional Rollercoaster
(For the first time, Tina left without being told to go and Benny was glad.)

Benny: So you finally ready to talk?
Kim: Yeah.
Benny: So, I wanted to—
Kim: I’m scared Benny.
Benny: What?
Kim: I’m scared, emotions, they’re scary.
Benny: Emotions? My emotions you mean?

Kim: It’s not your emotions that scare me, I mean maybe it is. No, it’s my emotions that scare me, but it’s also your expectations. I’m not sounding stuck up if I say, you think I’m pretty much the perfect girl for you and that if we get together, all your problems will be gone.
Benny: All my problems wouldn’t be gone they just wouldn’t matter.
Kim: It’s the same thing and it’s too much. We went to fast in one night and I don’t know where to go from there. I’m certainly not ready to tell all my friends about it.
Benny: Cause you’re embarrassed, cause it’s me.
Kim: No, Benny you’re a sweet guy and I like that about you.
Benny: But it’s not the kind of guy you date.
Kim: No, it’s me who’s not the kind of girl you date.

Benny: You’re the only girl I want to date. Listen, I understand this is new for you. We don’t have to take it public right away, lets just get to know each other a different way without other people interfering and when we’re ready, we’ll let people know.
Kim: You’d want to do that.
Benny: You’re not some prize I have to flaunt, it’s enough if you want to give it a try.
Kim: I don’t deserve you.
Benny: I don’t agree
(And even though she couldn’t help but smile at Benny, she didn’t know if she was doing the right thing agreeing to date him – even in secret.)
