1.14: Family Ties
Shanice: What? Erika you know better.
Erika: I was just trying to help him. Trying to do everything to help him.
Shanice: (thinking) Oh no.
Principal: Young lady, cheating helps no one.
Shanice: I’m so sorry. I think she knows that now, if not I do believe our mother will be letting her know.
Principal: Well, luckily, Erika’s been a model student up to this point. So she’ll be getting a weeks worth of detention duties. After school you’ll be helping clean the caferteria.
Erika: Yes sir.
Principal: Shawn, unfortunately, in your short time here you’ve been in quite a bit of trouble. In fact this isn’t even your first incident of cheating.
Erika: It isn’t?
Shanice: Erika, shh?!
Principal: So I’m afraid we’ll have to suspend you. Shanice I’m going to give you a letter to take home, I expect her mother to sign it. Mr. Stevens, Shawn, and I need to talk some more.
