1.14: Family Ties
(The next morning, Erika was still thinking about ‘helping’ Shawn in class.)
Shanice: Yeah, it’s a part of caring for one another.
Erika: What if you know your boyfriend really needs help with something and you don’t help them? Does that make you a bad girlfriend?
Shanice: In a way I guess, you should give it all you got I mean. Sometimes that’s not enough though. And if that’s not enough, it’s sometimes enough that the guy knows you did everything to help him. Does that help?
Erika: Yeah, it helps.
Shanice: You want to tell me any more details about this ‘help’.
Erika: Not really, not right now.
Erika had made her decission. She just hoped it was the right one.
