Francisco: Why are you taking her away?
Sophia: I’m what? Boy, you have issues.
Francisco: What do you mean, I have issues?
Sophia: She doesn’t belong to you.
Francisco: I know that.
Sophia: No you don’t. Listen, she’s not happy here and I’m just giving her an alternative. It’s not my fault she doesn’t want to live with you.
Francisco: I don’t want her to want me.
Sophia: See how you turned that around?
Francisco: What are you saying?
Sophia: Listen, you’ve been advising me for months now about a certain relationship, so I think it’s about time I return the favor. You’re in love with Sharice and you need to admit it to yourself before you break the heart of that pretty little girlfriend of yours.
Francisco: How many times do I have to say ‘it’s not like that’? I love Karen that way, is that suppose to stop me from caring for someone else?.
Sophia: No, but when it starts getting a bit illogical, like snapping at her and me for no good reason, then that’s a warning sign. I know it’s hard falling for a friend, you don’t want to complicate the friendship but you don’t want to lose them to someone else either. And what’s even more complicated is you are involved with someone who you care for, there’s nothing wrong with the relationship except that when you see this other person the rest of the world becomes invisible.
Francisco: That’s not what’s happening here.
Sophia: Keep telling yourself that.
(Sophia left Francisco thinking about this and went to check on the dinner Sharice had abandoned when she angrily stomped off.)
