1.16: Betrayed
Sophia: Well listening to Francisco is what got me in this situation.
Sharice: What do you mean?
Sophia: We hired a P.I., discovered Francisco was mostly right about his father, and we told Dawn today. She is really angry at us for doing all this behind her back.

Sharice: She’ll get past it when she sees what you found out.
Sophia: Maybe she will, maybe she won’t. I should have took my brother’s advice a long time ago and just quit Kelley Kids Kare.
Sharice: But then you wouldn’t have me. (pause) Listen, don’t give up on love. I can see it’s real between you and Mrs. Carr. She’s going to need someone to rely on, someone to lean on when she really starts to feel the real betrayal, the one on her husband’s hands.
Sophia: I don’t want to be rebound girl.
Sharice: And you won’t be, because she already loves you. That much is clear. She knows deep down what she feels and now she knows the truth about her husband. She’ll come to you, just give her time.
Sophia: I hope you’re right. Teenage advice hasn’t exactly served me well so far.
(Sharice reached over and gave her a hug.)

(Sophia felt a little better and was glad for the company, if she had come home to her empty apartment, she certainly would have wallowed all night. Thanks to Sharice she didn’t.)

(But as she sat there trying to enjoy TV with her new roomate, her thoughts were still with her friend.
She hoped she could find it in her heart to forgive her for this mistake.)
