1.16: Betrayed

Mrs. Carr: I need to know. Why did you leave your wife and marry me?
Mr. Carr: What?
Mrs. Carr: Why did you? At the time I wanted to believe it was love, but I don’t think it ever was love. I don’t think you ever loved me the way I love you.
Mr. Carr: We had three kids Dawn. What was I suppose to do?
Mrs. Carr: So it was obligation, I had more kids than your wife, I had your biological children. That’s all that made you propose.
Mr. Carr: What do you want me to say?
Mrs. Carr: Nothing, you’ve said it. And thank you, thank you for my beautiful babies. I adore them and I don’t regret one of them. I don’t even regret taking on Shanice. And you can now consider yourself free from obligation.
Mr. Carr: Dawn, you don’t under–
(They were interuppted by a third person entering. The girlfriend, Tracie.)

Mr. Carr: Tracie, you’re home.
Tracie: Who is this?
Mrs. Carr: I’m his wife, but I bet you didn’t know he had one. But don’t worry too much about it. That wife thing, it won’t be a problem much longer, I’m divorcing him. Now I’m going home to my children, our children, all ten of them.
(Mrs. Carr marched out as Tracie walked up to Francisco.)

Tracie: Ten? You have ten kids.
Francisco: Baby, I can explain.
