1.2: Back to School
(Stephany and Mie came out of the lunch line unsure of where to sit. Then something they didn’t want happened. Mie’s mom, who taught Math at the school, spotted them. )
Mie: It soooo sucks having a mom for a teacher.
Steph: Tell me about it. It’s going to kill our cool points. You know what will lift them?
Mie: What?
Steph: We eat with Deven and them.
Mie: Why?
Steph: Hello, Harold’s at the table.
Mie: Harold’s a player.
Steph: But so cute.
Mie: Don’t tell me you’re gonna.
Steph: No, not Harold. But little brother got it going on.
Mie: Mick?
Steph: Why not, he’s the next best thing.
Mie: If he’s anything like Harold, he’s the next worse thing.
Steph: Stop being so negative. Keep it up and you’re going to be stuck with Ian for the rest of the year.
Mie: Ian is nice. He’s a gentleman. I mean, I’m not really into him…
Steph: Good, because the last thing you need is to be associated with a science club geek. Talking about bugs and whatever else.
Mie: I like insects and science club.
Steph: I know that, but you don’t have to spread it around. High school is all about who you know and it would benefit us to know them.
Mie: Fine, lets go over there.
