1.6: Crossing the Line
(Even though school was ending there were still a couple hours left at the Day Care. And Mrs. Carr, Sophia, Raymond, and Shanice were in the midst of a little mini-celebration of Nicole’s birthday – which replaced the usual snack and evening playtime.)
(At the moment, most of the kids were downstairs watching Nicole unwrap her gifts.)
(Sophia had a few of the more hyper babies, namely William, Maniya, and Frank upstairs with her. They would have only disturbed the situation so it was better to let them stay upstairs with Sophia and play while she helped Shanice hang the Happy Birthday banner.)
(Shanice had noticed Sophia and her step-mother’s odd behavior and felt the need to comment on it.)
