1.5: Halloween
Act I
The last couple weeks with the newest additions to the Carr family at home hadn’t been what Francisco expected. A few months back when he discovered his mother would be adding two new babies to the family, he was sure he’d have no time for himself, that the household would demand his attention 24-7. But then, like some kind of Angel, Sophia had come into their lives. She’d been there everyday to help out with the new babies.
But he wasn’t thinking about that at the moment. It was the weekend, it was Halloween, and he didn’t have to worry about taking kids trick or treating or changing diapers, just hanging out with his friends until it was time for the big party for four of his friends (Kim & Karen Wilson, Harold Tompson, and Nelson Kirk Johnson who all had Nov. 1st birthdays). Because so many of them shared that one birthday, they’d come to call it the ‘Birthday Bash’. But the party wasn’t until that evening, so for the moment Francisco was just looking to hang out with his brothers and play basketball with some friends.
