1.7: The Lost Son
(Sophia arrived home and found her brother laid back on her couch.)

Sophia: Those kids loved you today.
Ellis: I know, I loved seeing there little faces light up as I told my silly little stories. I see why you love that job so much.
Sophia: Well the kids aren’t the only reason I love my job. My boss, she’s like the most wonderful person I’ve ever met. That’s where I was, shopping with her and the kids.
Ellis: You shop for your boss’ kids?
Sophia: Well she’s not just my boss, she’s my friend. Her infant twins are actually my god-children. I was there when they were born, it was amazing. I even cut the cord.
Ellis: There father was okay with that? I mean, dads usually do that, don’t they?
Sophia: Her husband wasn’t even there, he’s actually away a lot. I haven’t even met him. He’s a trucker. Anyway, you have come see the babies when you get the chance, I swear they’re the most beautiful babies in the world. Oh yeah, we ran into mom in the mall.
Ellis: Really? Was she happy to see you?
Sophia: I don’t know. I know she saw me with a lady with 5 kids and immediately assumed the worse.
Ellis: An affair?
