Sophia: God, I just proved my mother right, didn’t I. I’m really so sorry. I’m being such a–
Mrs. Carr: (interupting her) I’m not.
Sophia: What?

Mrs. Carr: I’m not sorry you kissed me. Don’t question it. Just know that we can’t, we just can’t.
Sophia: You can’t say something like that to me and tell me not to question it.
Mrs. Carr: I have to, because I can’t question it, I can’t analyze it, I can’t ask myself why, I just…can’t.

Sophia: Maybe I should just quit my job. This is getting way too complicated. I don’t want to ruin your life.
Mrs. Carr: It was a kiss and it didn’t ruin my life. And I don’t want you to quit. I need you… well I need you not to quit. Lets just go back to my house, enjoy the party and enjoy Christmas with the kids. We’ll be okay.
Sophia: How? We can’t keep pretending this isn’t happening. Our relationship has changed and we need to deal with it.
