1.9: Together Again
(There wasn’t a ton of time to catch up as the holidays ended and school began, but Francisco and Sharice got re-aquainted quite easily. From the moment she showed up, it was hard to find them not in each other’s company. And the first monday after the New Year found them walking her young siblings to Day Care before they themselves headed off to school.)

Francisco: That was my first kiss, I never forgot it. But I was a mess after you left.
Reese: I wrote, why didn’t you write back?

Francisco: I didn’t know what to write, I kept pouring over this letter and then two weeks later my mom had her miscarriage. It was horrible, she wouldn’t get out of bed so I had get everyone ready for school in the morning and I’d take Erika to day care, which Molly ran by herself until mom got herself together. When everything finally got normal again, you had moved again.
Reese: We lost each other.
Francisco: Not really, you came back, just like you said.
Reese: I had too and I finally got dad to agree, even though I thought you forgot about forever. I thought if I showed up on your birthday it would remind you, since that’s when I left. So I spent half of December waiting for that perfect moment to come see you, midnight on New Years.
Francisco: It wouldn’t have mattered when you showed up. I could never forget about forever.
Reese: I can’t believe your dating Karen Wilson.
Francisco: Yeah, well, we went to our last Middle school dance together and… well… things just happened. over the summer… we’ve been together ever since.
Reese: Wow, since middle school, that’s a long time. I’m glad, she’s a nice girl.

Francisco: Your little sister is sweet.
Reese: I love Courtney and Robby.
Francisco: And Robby’s your God-brother, right?
Reese: Right. My God-dad gave my dad custody when he went to prison.
Francisco: I don’t see how anyone could trust your dad with there child.
Reese: Francisco, that was a long time ago. Let it go.
Francisco: People like that don’t just stop.
Reese: Well my dad did.
Francisco: I hope so, for their sake.
