1.9: Together Again
(Back at Kelley Kids Kare, the children were having a nice nap time while Mrs. Carr and Sophia talked about fullfilling that New Years Resolution they made together.)
Mrs. Carr: So… come on…tell me about her.
Sophia: Her name is Ashley, I met her online, with Kylie’s help that is.
Mrs. Carr: You mean your friend Kylie, the one that went away to school.
Sophia: Yeah, she e-mailed me one day from school and ever since then we’ve been e-mailing back and forth. The night I did the online personal ad, we instant messaged each other and she talked me into actually going through with it, I nearly backed out. Two days later, I had a lot of messages. Some of them were disgusting.
Mrs. Carr: Then what happened?
Sophia: Well, Ashley’s was really sweet. She wants to meet, but I don’t know. I’m scared.
Mrs. Carr: You want me to come with you, just to make sure it’s all okay? I won’t interfere, but maybe we can arrange it so that I’m there until you’re comfortable with the situation.
