1.9: Together Again
Benny: Harold, what did you do?
Harold: I broke up with her of course. I told you, Sharice is my new girl.
Benny: Alright, Sharice is fine, I’ll give you that. But Kim way more special. And you’re just giving it all up?
Harold: Yeah, Kim’s cool. And it was fun while it lasted, but it’s done. If you want her, she’s all yours.
(And Harold left, leaving Benny shaking his head. Did he really think he could just give Kim’s heart away on a whim. No, Kim didn’t like him that way. But he could at least be a friend right now.)
(Ben sat down and put a cautious arm around her. And afterawhile she relaxed into his comfort. And even though he took no joy in her pain, Benny was happy to be there for her.)
