1.9: Together Again
(Even though he didn’t know quite what to say, Francisco was happy to know he still knew Shanice pretty well. He found her sitting in the spot where there friendship began all those years ago.)

Francisco: I don’t think you’re a whore.
Reese: I know.
Francisco: But you’re still mad at me?
Reese: Yes.

Reese: What do you want from me? Are you jealous? Do you want us to be… something more than friends?
Francisco: No… I don’t know. I’m confused.
Reese: So am I, I’m confused about how to be in your life. Cause it can’t be the way it was before. But I don’t want it to be what I have with Harold, because that’s meaningless.
Francisco: What do you mean, it’s meaningless?
Reese: Exactly what I said. It’s just something to do. Harold does play games, but I know what he’s after, he knows what he’s after, and I’m cool with it. I’ve dated a lot Francisco, a lot. It means nothing, it’s just something to do.
Francisco: I shouldn’t be like that Sharice, it should mean something when you date a guy.
Reese: Why? I know what guys want when they look at me. So why pretend it’s anymore than that? But with you it was different, it was special because it wasn’t that way. Even after all these years we were still us, it was like no time had passed at all. I liked having a friend again. I’ve had a thousand Harold’s, but there’s only been one you.
Francisco: So what do we do now?
Reese: What do you want to do?
Francisco: I want forever, just like we promised.
Reese: So we acknowledge that we each have relationships that will some times occupy our time. And we deal with it, if you still want to be friends that is.
Francisco: There’s nothing I want more.
