LAST TIME ON SUPER NINJAS: Twelve year old Michael is saved from a bully by a girl named Kim. His friend Billy convinces him that he needs to take Karate classes to defend himself. After he convinces his mother it’s a good idea, he goes to the classes where he accidentally meets Kim again and discover their destiny is bigger than Karate class. Transported to a mystical island, they journey to the power base where they meet Lisa McMiss, guardian of the Power sword. Lisa is the sister of the evil menace, Dr. Craze who plans to take over the world. It is the Super Ninjas job to stop him. Just as the two new friends are getting aquatinted we find Dr. Craze in his lab making some type of warrior. Who or what is it? And how will the Super Ninjas handle their first battle? Only time will tell, or at least the next episode of Super Ninjas?
The chamber’s bright red glow began to dim. Dr. James Craze stood outside of it wearing goggles. His head, witch held his three brains, looked like a giant egg. His face possessed the lunatic grin of the mad scientist he was. His eyes burned with red rage brighter than the glowing chamber. His assistant, Dr. Jake Dufus, powered the chamber with the Super Laser. Craze had used the laser to increase the power of himself and his minions. Now he was doing his own work from scratch, creating a powerful warrior to help him take over the world.
"Dufus!" he said summoning his midget lab assistant.
"Coming sir," Dufus said running toward Dr. Craze. In the process he tripped over the Super Laser’s cord. The laser beam stopped short.
"Dufus, you idiot. You better hope you haven’t ruined him."
The chamber opened and smoke filled the room. Then he stepped into the light. Dufus expected something magnificent, but an average little man. Seconds later the electric devices around him began to cackle. Electricity began emitted from them and filter into his veins. Biceps, triceps, and ABS began to pop out of him.
"Success," Dr. Craze shouted.
"Just as you promised," the electric man said as he felt the power of electricity filter into him. "I am no longer Elan Tronic," Elan said as his voice began to change from nerdish wine to a monsterous deep. "I am now Zeus, he said, closing his hand on an invisible item. An electric bolt appeared in his hand.
Meanwhile, eleven year old heroes the Super Ninjas roamed around the power base on the opposite side of the same island. SN1, Michael, removed a staff from the weapons case and began swinging it in mock battle. SN2, Kim, walked in and snatched the weapon.
"What are you doing, this is not a toy," Kim said.
"We’ve been heroes for over a week now and all we’ve done is stop a couple purse snatchers. I’m bored."
"Do you think this is a game?"
Kim placed the weapon back in the weapons case.
"This is serious business Michael. We’re responsible for millions of lives."
"Super Ninjas," Lisa, their guardian, called from the monitor room. The two super Ninjas ran in together. "Bazooka and Triple Gun are robbing the bank."
"Bazooka and Triple Gun?" Kim questioned.
"Don’t you read the information Lisa gives us?" Michael asked. "The twins with the Bionic Gun Arms. They’re like Craze’s muscle. This is so great, our first battle."
"Yea, just stay focused. Remember, this isn’t a game."
Michael and Kim’s hands shot up in the sky. "Power Sword, power up." The Power sword, which was in a nearby display case appeared over them. "Super Ninjas power up." The two Super Ninja’s gold ninja uniforms appeared on them. They were then transported to the scene of the crime with Bazooka and Triple Gun. Lisa watched them appear on the scene from her monitor.
"Good luck my Super Ninjas," she whispered to herself.
In the bank, Bazooka and Triple Gun scratched their heads. The alarm was blaring loudly and they were confused about how to shut it off.
"Hey Bazooka, What wire was we supposed to cut?" Triple Gun asked.
Bazooka examined the complicated wires and buttons, then glanced at his Bazooka arm. He had a plan.
"This one," Bazooka said as he raised his Bazooka arm and blew up the alarm system.
"You know, destruction of public property is a punishable offense," SN1 said as they approached the twin bank robbers.
"Who are they Bazooka?" Triple Gun asked.
"Dead," Bazooka answered as he lifted his Bazooka arm and fired on them. The Super Ninjas flipped out of the way and landed on their feet in one agile move.
"Actually, we’re the Super Ninjas," SN1 answered. SN2 shook her head, he was already getting cocky.
Bazooka went for SN2 and Triple Gun went for SN1. SN1 teased Triple Gun, disappearing and reappearing every time he tried to throw a punch. Using his power of invisibility, he ran around shouting, getting Triple Gun confused. When Triple Gun was dizzy, all it took was a nice firm shove to his back and he was sprawled out on the ground. Meanwhile, Bazooka tried to swing at SN2 with his bionic arm, but she stopped it. Then he tried to swing with his hand, which held the bag of money, but she blocked it too. With both his hands locked in her firm grip, she dropped onto her back and flipped the large villain onto his back. The money bag fell from his hand. SN2 quickly flipped on her feet. Partially dazed, Bazooka managed to get up on his feet. Walking like a Drunk, he slowly approached SN2. SN2 began spinning her fist in a circular motion, which hypnotized Bazooka. The speed began to increase, confusing him, but holding his attention. Pow, an unexpected fist escaped the motion, knocking Bazooka out cold. SN1 now held the money bag Bazooka had dropped earlier.
"My, my, my, now who’s this." said a voice from the sky.
The Super Ninjas turned toward the voice. It was Dr. Craze. He floated in the air on a helicopter propeller that came from his lab coat.
"Did Lisa send you?" He asked.
"What makes you think we know Lisa?" SN2 asked.
"Who else would dare to defy me?" Dr. Craze asked. "My sister is so foolish, what can two children do to the most intelligent man on earth.
"Craze Bots!" Dr. Craze called toward the empty streets.
Suddenly, a group of robot fighters appeared on the scene. They marched in perfect military formation toward the Super Ninja team.
"Only a thousand to two," SN1 said sarcastically, but he was embellishing. Their were far less than a thousand Bots. A hundred would have been closer to their number.
"Will you shut up and fight," SN2 said as she took the money bag from him and tossed it inside the bank.
The two assumed fighting stances and prepared to fight the robots. SN1 immediately turned invisible and began knocking out robots. They never saw him coming. SN2 relied on skill, assaulting robot after robot with normal speed punches and kicks. They beat them all very easily. During all this, Bazooka and Triple Gun fled the scene. Dr. Craze watched the demolished robots pile on the street.
"Seems I’ve underestimated you, fine, " Dr. Craze said. "Meet my friend Zeus."
"King of the Gods?" SN1 questioned as he turned toward SN2.
The ground began to rumbled then. People screamed and ran in all directions. Elan, now five stories tall, appeared. Both Super Ninjas turned toward the monster in amazement.
"No, monster of Craze," SN2 said in response to One’s earlier question.
"I am Zeus," Elan said as an electric bolt formed in his hand. His voice made the ground rumble as much as his feet. Electricity sparked out of him at every angle. He was growing taller by the second.
"You save bank, I destroy bank," Zeus said as he threw an electric bolt. The people who hid in the bank, now ran from it. The bolt turned the bank to ashes upon impact.
"Well, here’s your big battle Mister Invisibility," SN2 said to SN1. "Got any ideas?"
He looked at her blankly.
"Now I destroy you," Zeus said throwing an electric bolt.
"Watch out," SN2 said.
The Super Ninjas dropped to the ground and rolled out the way. SN2 was on her feet in seconds. She attempted to make him tumble with a flying kick to the knee. It was pointless. He grabbed her and threw her onto a nearby building. Just as SN1 was about to turn invisible, Zeus grabbed him and began squeezing him. Unable to breathe, he was forced to reappear. SN2, regaining her composure, leaped from the building onto Zeus’ back. She climbed his shirt and started pulling on his ears. While trying to slap her off, he dropped SN1 and then she jumped off.
"Power Sword," she called and it appeared. "Power Base," she shouted and the two were zapped to the Base.
"We failed Lisa, I knew we couldn’t do this," Kim said tossing down her Super Ninja Mask. "Super Ninjas power down," she shouted. The Super Ninja outfits disappeared.
"Kim it’s okay," Lisa said. "When you fall off a horse you get back up on it, right."
"Tell Mike here about the horse. Instead of fighting, every five seconds he’s playing lets go invisible. I can’t deal with this, it’s too much responsibility. And so is he, I can’t work with him," Kim screamed at the top of her lungs. "Power Sword, send me home," she demanded and stomped toward the wall. She disappeared half way.
"Was I that bad?" Mike asked, turning toward Lisa. "I’m sorry I fooled around a bit too much, but I’m not giving up."
"Thanks Mike," Lisa said. "But it’s gonna take both of you to defeat my brother’s creation."
"We can’t wait for her to come around," Mike said, sighing slightly. "Power Sword, home," Michael said reluctantly. He disappeared.
Kim walked into the Dojo watching Zack practice various Karate moves. She said nothing as she admired him from the doorway. Each move hypnotized her and she almost forgot why she had come here in the first place. His moves were smooth and flowed like musical notes. They danced into her eyes, moved into her heart and exploded like a million little firecrackers throughout her. He looked her way, she was speechless.
"Hey Kim," he said turning toward her. Sweat was trickling down his muscled arms, which were emphasized by the tank top. She had to swallow before she could speak.
"You look upset. Is it about that monster guy, Zeus, that’s been terrorizing the city?" Zack asked.
"Kinda," she said walking toward him. "Well, what if a whole lot of people depended on you to win a battle and you failed."
"What do you mean by failed?"
"Well, you lost a battle in a war. Like the Super Ninjas did with Zeus."
"Well I seriously hope the Super Ninjas and others will try again. A lot of people depend on it."
"But the Super Ninjas lost."
"A battle, so what. It’s not the war."
"But people are disappointed about the failure and more importantly, they can get hurt."
"If nobody tries to stop him, they will get hurt. Do you know the difference between a hero and a coward?"
"Yea, the hero is tough."
"Not necessarily true. We assume the hero is a big old tough guy, but inside the hero is just like the guy that does nothing. He afraid of losing, he’s afraid of dying, but he does it anyway."
"So doing, even when it seems impossible is what makes a hero."
"Yea, a hero or a very stupid person. Even the bravest of warriors doesn’t go into battle unprepared. This Zeus guy, he’s pretty big and scary, but he has to have a weakness. Everyone has weakness. So, somebody just has to find it."
"But the Super Ninja’s are so little, they look like kids. Can they defeat a monster like that?"
"Yea, they can. If their hearts are big and they are willing to finish the job they set out to do."
"Thanks Zack, that really helped. I gotta go find Mike."
Kim turned and left the Dojo. Lost in a trance, she smiled as she stepped outside. She didn’t notice he partner standing in the outside doorway.
"Awe, isn’t that cute," Michael teased. His shocked her out of her trance.
"What you doing here Mike?"
"I came to apologize. I know I haven’t been the best partner so far, but I’ll improve, I promise. I just don’t have that much confidence in my martial arts skills. And I’m a bit immature I guess."
"Mike, I’m immature too. I mean, at least you wanted to keep fighting. I ran away cause I couldn’t deal with losing."
"Are you sorry I’m your partner?" Mike asked.
"No way," Kim said. "You’re the best. You’re a dreamer and that’s okay. In fact, I love that about you. You like having me as a partner?"
"Of course, there’s so much I can learn from you about martial arts and stuff. Plus, your there to kick me when I’m acting foolish and put me on the right track."
"Power Base?" Kim asked. Michael agreed.
They smiled, saying together. "Power Sword power up, Power Base."
The Super Ninjas appeared in the power base where Lisa was tooling over some written problem. She looked up from her work and glanced at the Super Ninja team as they entered. "I see you’ve returned. I had a feeling you would."
"Yea, and I’ve been thinking about this Zeus thing. If he’s electric, would water short circuit him?"
"I thought of that, but I doubt it. Craze is too smart to make his monster that easy to destroy," Lisa said walking towards the monitor.
"It might be a good back up though", Michael added.
"It seems to me, that with all the power lines in the city he has a steady flow of power. Maybe if we get him outside the city into an open area, we have a chance to weaken him." Lisa hit a button on a keypad and the monitor displayed a map. She closed in on a small area. "Now here’s the main area of the city that he’s been in and about five miles this way is an open field. There are a few scattered power lines, but not enough that he’ll get the constant recharging he can get in the city."
"Did you hear who this guy really was?" Michael asked.
"Elan Tronic, a bank robber. He supposedly escaped from jail a few months ago. The truth is, my brother broke him out. I guess he made him an offer. He may depend on electricity now, but if he survives the battle you’ll have to take him back to jail." Lisa explained. She walked over to a locked metallic cabinet and opened it with a remote. Inside were two wheeless skate boards, she handed them to the Super Ninjas.
"Hover Boards," Lisa said. "I finished them this morning."
"Cool," Michael said as he jumped on one and it began to float.
"Totally," Kim said as she jumped on the other.
They smiled at each other and said, "Power Sword power up, Super Ninja’s power up."
Super Ninjas again, they began to float towards the door.
"Hey guys, those boards don’t have unlimited sky access. Be careful," Lisa shouted after them.
"We will," they said as they floated out the door and above the forest trees.
"Last time I was up here, a flying monster Monkey had me," SN1 said.
"Yeah, and I had to save you."
"Now we’re on a mission against Craze."
They sped through the sky and over the water, quickly arriving at Kim’s house. Michael quickly turned invisible and teleported to go inside Kim’s house. He retrieved two Super Soaker water guns. Strapping the guns to their backs, they headed to Zeus’ last known location. He wasn’t hard to find. Zeus stood tall beside the building Craze was using as a broadcasting station. Craze was on the news urging the city to surrender. The Super Ninja floated up to the building’s window.
"Hey Craze," SN2 said. "It ain’t over yet."
"I thought I was rid of you," the giant headed man said.
"Well were not sorry to disappoint you," SN1 said with a smile.
"Zeus, get them," Craze commanded.
Zeus turned from his stationary position and went after the kids. They flew away at top speed, staying just out of arms reach of Zeus. Once he almost grabbed SN1, but he flipped and landed back on his board just in time. When they reached the clearing the two began circling Zeus’ head like annoying little bugs. He swatted at them, but they avoided him. The effort weakened him and he began to power down and lose both height and muscles. Kim began to float toward his feet. Taking out a special Yo-Yo Lisa had created for her, SN2 tossed it out and it wrapped around the monster’s legs, casing him to tumble. When he freed himself of the Yo-Yo strings he was so angry that he created an electric thunderbolt and threw at SN1. It weakened him, but his shot was dead on, knocking Michael to the ground. SN2 then jumped from her board in a flying kick, knocking the weakened, now seven foot tall, Zeus to the ground. He looked around for a power source, and saw a telephone line. SN2 saw it too. He tried to run for it, but using her super speed, SN2 quickly flipped in front of him, blocking his way.
SN1 was regaining his composure. When his vision was clear, he saw SN2 in a heated battle with Zeus, fist were flying and electricity was sparked as he got closer to the line. SN2 was visibly weakening, but holding out. SN1 suddenly had an idea.
"Let him get to the lines," SN1 said grabbing the Water Gun that was strapped behind him. SN2 understood. Falling on her back, she flipped him into the cords where he held on tight so he could charge. Kim then pulled out her water gun and they shot at him while he was charging causing the lines and him self to electrocute together. He shivered and shook as he shrunk back to the normal sized Elan Tronic.
"No," Craze screamed from behind them. Neither knew how long he had been there. Elan fell from the lines, burnt out. Craze, frustrated, pressed a button on his lab coat. His helicopter propeller was released and he flew away shouting, "Until next time, Super Ninjas."
At the Power Base, Kim and Michael put away their hover boards.
"Elan was revived the next day," Kim said to Lisa.
"And he was sent back to jail. They didn’t find any remaining traces of Craze’s experimentation in his system.
"And so the world is safe for another day," Lisa said.
"All this work to save the world and we still have to get home and do our homework," Michael said. "Power Sword, home."
Meanwhile, At Craze’s base Dr. Craze walked in ranting and raving. "Dufus! Dufus you idiot. You ruined him when you tripped over that cord. Water shouldn’t have affected him even if he was charging. Dufus!"
"He’s hiding from you," a midget woman said as she appeared in the doorway.
"Oh, Mrs. Dufus. And where would that husband of yours be hiding?"
"Under the bed, but you need not concern yourself with him," she said as she batted her eyes flirtatiously. "A massage would do you good. I mean what is one battle. Your are the worlds most amazing and handsome genius. You can’t help that your assistant is an idiot." Craze was half ignoring her as he sunk into a nearby chair. "How about that massage?"
"Yes, how about a massage from your wife?" a seductive voice called from the background. Ms. Dufus looked back to see the curvaceous shape of Ms. Craze in the doorway. She slinked into the room like the part lizard she was. Despite her woman like shape, her skin was green and scaly. Poisonous fangs revealed themselves like vampire teeth when she hissed and her body moved with a seductive sway.
"My beautiful Hypnotica," Craze said turning towards her.
"Come on, let me ease that aching beautiful head of yours," Hypnotica said rubbing her husbands’ cranium. He smiled at her and she leaned down for a kiss. They joined hands and left the angry Mrs. Dufus fuming.
In jail Elan sat laughing like a maniac and touching his lamp as electricity popped toward his finger. "Soon, Super Ninja’s, soon. We will fight again, soon."
