Choosing a Weasley : Can’t really say I took any special time in choosing the boys here. I needed two males I could get cheaply and easily. At the time, Cali Guy Ken was pretty cheap and he looked like an older version of the Kevin I had already used.
Making a Weasley : The problem with twins is the make-over has to be identical to two heads. I decided the easiest thing to do to expedite the process was molded hair. I also figured it would match them more easily with their younger counterparts. I wished I had stuck with Cali Ken’s hair and tried to dye it, the hair isn’t bad, but it’s not that great. I’ve done better molded hair (see Percy). For the freckles I again went with the five on each cheek method. It was the easiest way to keep them identical. I placed them on Happy Family Alan bodies to give them more pose-able arms, but they don’t have very pose-able legs. Still they move better than the teen counterparts for posing. I didn’t want them to be too tall as it goes against the book’s description of them.
My Thoughts on the Result : I actually really liked the final product, considering my unhappiness in the process. Also, I’m super impressed and proud at myself for their robes. Their robes and Teen Ginny’s took serious work as I wanted to replicate the Hogsmead Harry and Hermione robes.
