Everything that Shouldn’t Happen
PART 3: It’s happening
Original Cindy and Max spent the next week avoiding their issues. They couldn’t share with each other and they couldn’t forget. Original Cindy managed to speak casually to Alec at work, only when necessary, and avoid him otherwise. Max managed to avoid Asha all together. But it didn’t make the ache disappear. Max’s body wanted what it wanted and the only distraction seemed to be riding her motorcycle. In every quiet moment, she felt herself back in that place again. Original Cindy spent her days with Max and her nights trying to prove herself to herself. She had been with someone new every night. As far as she could tell, nothing was different, nothing had changed, Alec was just an anomaly. After seven successful days avoiding it, one of them finally did inquire into the other’s personal life. Lunch came and small talk was taken a casual step further as the friends sat together.
“Anything new wit you Max,” Cindy asked as she stirred her coffee.
“Not much,” Max replied.
“I’ve been wondering. Have you been kickin’ it with somebody new.”
Max suddenly froze. She didn’t eat or speak for a full five minutes.
“Well, it’s just a couple days ago, the last time you allegedly were kickin’ it with Logan. You seemed real happy about something. And if not for certain factors, I’d think maybe–”
“I’m not kickin’ with nobody.”
“Okay,” Cindy shrugged.
“What about you?” Max said. “You been real weird lately.”
Cindy scoffed. “In what way?”
“You go out every night,” Max said.
“I can’t have a life?”
“You’ve always had an active social life,” Max said. “But it’s been a little extreme lately.”
“Original Cindy can’t help it if the ladies just flock to her,” Cindy stated. “At least I ain’t hidin’ nothing.” ‘Except I am,’ she thought.
“You think I hidin’ something?” Max said.
“Maybe,” Cindy said. “But Boo, if you don’t want to share, you ain’t gotta share. Everybody has their dirty little secrets. Your business is your own.”
“And that’s why I love you,” Max said throwing an arm around her and giving her half of a hug. “But I’m not hiding a dirty little secret.”
“If it was a clean one, you’d tell.”
She wanted to share with Original Cindy, but she couldn’t. She didn’t know how Cindy would feel about her having a lesbian fling, if that’s what it was. She had decided Asha’s game was over, she wasn’t playing anymore, she wouldn’t be her love doll, her puppet. But unfortunately, avoiding Asha meant avoiding Logan. She missed him. He was as much a part of her life as her job, her best friend, and her bike. However, Asha was just to tempting right now. Logan’s kitchen, she’d been touched intimately in Logan’s kitchen and it wasn’t by Logan, it wasn’t even with a man, it was with a woman and not just any woman, the competition…Asha. Why Asha? But even as her mind screamed “why Asha” her body just wanted Asha.
What she didn’t know was that Original Cindy was in the same boat, hiding a secret interlude that shouldn’t have been. Max was right about the women she had been with since the Alec encounter. She was disrespecting them, using them to prove something to herself, using them to run from Alec. She loved women, that was no secret, Alec knew it as well as he knew anything, but he also knew she liked his touch. It gave him a power no man should have over her. No man? Actually no person should have it over her. Was she Original Cindy or was she Original Cindy. It was time to reclaim her power.
It was Friday night, so Crash was quite full when Max and Original Cindy arrived. They got some drinks and soaked up the atmosphere. Cindy ran into Chris and Max got pulled into a game where she earned a couple bucks. For awhile, Chris and Cindy were cool, spending the night flirting and playing around, but when Chris realized Cindy wasn’t down for another quick hit it and split it type of night, she found something else to entertain her. Alec came in and went to the bar without ever even seeing her.
Original Cindy watched Alec for awhile. Some blond he’d probably had a previous encounter with came up to him. He let her stick around, until he saw she was there. Then it was bye bye blondie.
“I didn’t know you were here,” he said.
“Well now you know and you can return to your little sure thing over there.”
“Her,” he scoffed. “Been there, done that. Besides, I have other interest for tonight.”
Original Cindy half smiled. “Maybe I do too.”
“Really,” Alec said. “And what could those interest be?”
“Hey, Cindy, Alec,” a soft voice said.
They turned and saw Asha standing there.
“What’s up?” Cindy replied.
“Nothin’ much,” Asha said. “Um, have you seen Max?”
“Yeah, she’s around here somewhere,” Cindy replied. “Is it important?”
“No,” Asha assured her. “Just something I need to talk to her about. . .”
She left the two of them in search of Max. Original Cindy and Alec watched her curiously.
“I keep getting this weird feeling about their little triangle,” Alec told Original Cindy. “Like there’s something I’m missing.” He shrugged. “What do you say we get out of here?” He said throwing those bedroom eyes her way.
“And where would we go?” Original Cindy said.
“Does it matter?” Alec said moving toward the exit.
Asha found Max sitting with some guys she didn’t know in the back of Crash. She didn’t have to speak, Max spotted her and excused herself from the group. She knew Max had been avoiding Logan to avoid her and she just wanted to let her know that wasn’t necessary.
“Can we talk?” Asha asked.
“Yeah,” Max replied. “Sure”
They walked outside because it was quieter. Each woman had their hands stuffed deeply into their pocket. It was an effort at self control.
“Logan thinks you’re avoiding him,” Asha said. “I know it’s me your avoiding. I’m sorry if I’ve left you feeling uncomfortable with him or me…”
“I don’t regret what happen, if that what you think, it’s just–,” Max sighed she sat on an empty crate. “What are we doing?”
Asha shrugged. “Having fun.”
“You see, I’ve never done that,” Max said. “Well I have, but it wasn’t by choice.”
“I don’t understand.”
Max sat for a moment, finding the words she wanted to use. Did she want to tell Asha her most embarrassing secret? It was the only way to make her understand. “I go through these cycles, phases, I go–into–heat sort of. At that time I’ll basically jump any man with a pulse. And I have in the past.” Max sighed. “I guess for that reason, when I have a choice I don’t want it to be just because, I want it to mean something.”
“Oh,” Asha said. “Well this is a little different. I mean, mean and you can’t exactly reproduce so a heat cycle doesn’t exactly…”
Max smiled and laughed just a little bit. “It’s not about love though, so it feels like it comes from that same place.”
“Max, have you ever, outside of the phases, just made love to someone? I’m not saying it has to be me, but I’m just asking.”
“Yeah,” Max said. “The couple times I got stuck with a boyfriend after, I did as a girlfriend should.”
“You make it sound like a job.”
Max didn’t say anything.
“Wow,” Asha said in disbelief. “Can I ask,” Asha began blushing a bit. “Have these past incidents been satisfying?”
She shrugged. “They’ve been what they’ve been.”
Asha came and sat on a crate in front of her. She looked up at her. Suddenly, this woman’s eyes seemed so innocent. It made her all the more beautiful, but she kept herself in check.
“I understand things might be confusing, but don’t walk away from Logan because of me. He’s missed you.”
“Really?” Max asked with an unintentional smile. It faded quickly. “I’m death to him. It’s better if I stay away.”
A gentle hand came up and caressed Max’s cheek.
“If that’s the reason you’ve avoided him…and me this last week, I respect it. But if it’s just an excuse–”
“It’s an excuse,” Max admitted.
At that moment, Max kissed her. Asha had this gentleness about her sometimes and it pulled Max in unexpectedly. She needed to feel Asha’s body next to her own, no she wanted to feel Asha’s body next to her own. There was a difference. She wanted this woman, she desired her. And it was the human in her that wanted it, not the beast.
“I have a bed we can go to,” Asha whispered next to her ear. “It’s your choice Max, in your hands, in your control.”
“Let’s go,” Max replied.
Original Cindy invited him in and they had a few drinks. She needed to clear her head, and getting drunk seemed the best solution. He had her right where he wanted then. No, she had him right where she wanted, she reminded herself. But she didn’t feel in control as his lips traced a path down her neck, sending shivers up her spine. She led him into the bedroom, some part of her mind telling her stop. She didn’t listen. They were on the bed, shirts gone, in a few fluid movements.
As Alec lay their, with Original Cindy leaving kisses along his chest. He had to wonder what the probability was of a guy ending up here in Cindy’s bed. What did he care about probabilities. She was here, he was here, end of issue.
And then she was in his arms, his lips were on her breast, her stomach, slowly moving lower and lower.
“Stop,” Cindy commanded.
She saw a little panic in his eyes, as if he was afraid she would back out, that it all would end here. As twisted as it seemed, even in her own head, she liked that power. Laying him on his back she removed his pants.
“No underwear,” Cindy laughed. “Should have known you were a dirty boy.” “If I’m a dirty boy, what does that make you?”
She didn’t reply, just met his lips with her own. She then littered his smooth chest with kisses accompanied by little love bites, he seemed to like that. She moved back up to his lips, giving him a long kiss.
“I want to taste you,” he whispered.
Cindy slipped off her pants and mounted his face. The man knew exactly what he was doing, he had her moaning and bucking on top of him, begging for more. She melted to his manipulations. Things would never be the same after tonight. And the night had only begun.
Max couldn’t remember the last time her body had felt so cherished. And Asha did seem to cherish every touch. The fact was, it had never been like this before. Asha had bought her back to her current apartment. Then Asha undressed her, kissing every piece of skin available to her lips. She found a spot Max had never even known was there.
She felt a little shy completely revealed while Asha was still dressed. Sensing this, Asha asked her to undress her. Revealing the beautiful creamy skin flushed her with unexpected heat. She dared to taste her, kissing her shoulder and moving down to her round beautiful breast. As she took the nipple into her mouth, she received a pleasing sigh from Asha, as if she had been anticipating this moment. And pleasing Asha actually satisfied her, so she continued, until the other woman pulled her up and captured her lips in another deep kiss.
Asha laid her on the bed and continued the deep kiss, her leg moving between Max’s leg’s as they continued their kiss. Asha had turned her on, she was wet with excitement and anticipation and wanting and so many other things she had never felt before. And this sound she had never heard before came from deep down in her throat.
“Don’t get ahead of me,” Asha whispered in her ear. Max could hear the pleased smile in her voice.
Asha slid down and began to leave kisses along her leg. She moved from her ankle to her inner thigh, then took a taste of the other leg, repeating her path. Max thought she would explode waiting for her to take it home, but all she got were teasing little kisses to her aching love center.
“Please,” she demanded.
“Please what?” Asha asked between kisses to her lower belly.
“Taste me, touch me,” she demanded. “I don’t care, Just fuck me.”
“I’ll make love to you,” she said softy as she slowly moved lower and lower.
Max thought she would explode waiting. Then the other woman was there, inside of her. Her mouth exciting her pleasure button, her fingers inside. Then her tongue inside, fingers on her love button. She lost track. There was only her taste and pleasure, she was bursting with it, crumbling below this other woman, this amazing woman. She was suddenly shivering and her body was alive in a way she had never known before.
Original Cindy had to wonder if this genetically engineered boy was designed for loving, because he had her shivering. That talented little mouth of his knew just how to make her melt, just like his fingers had done in the tub. The taste of her was on him as he laid her down beneath him. Gentle kisses again going across her skin. She knew what he wanted, what his body wanted though. It wanted to be inside her.
“Alec,” Original Cindy said. “Stop.”
He looked a little puzzled by these words.
“Just lay down and enjoy.”
He did as commanded. She traced a path down his chest with her finger as she kissed him. Her fingers wrapped around his love pole.
Alec had given control to her, because he felt she needed it. However she wanted to handle this, he would let her do it. Soon enough, her mouth joined her hands and he was in her control. He knew he was a man and men were easy for the most part, but he couldn’t believe she had never done this before. And she gave as good as she got.
‘I had an orgasm,’ Max thought as she kissed the woman beneath her. And it was Asha who had brought her here. She felt so good she was giddy inside and she was never giddy. She shared in the taste of herself through this other woman’s lips. It was the first truly erotic moment of her life. She wanted to make Asha feel just as good.
“Asha,” she said softly.
“What?”
“How can I?”
“How can you what?”
“How can I make you feel,” she began. “What do you want me to?”
Asha smiled and took Max’s hand into her own. She kissed her palm, kissed her fingers, and then took one into her mouth. She sucked on one finger and then another, Max watched enjoying the sensation of her fingers in Asha’s warm mouth. She moved the wet fingers down to her wet center.
“Remember,” Asha whispered. “It’s just like yours. It wants what yours wants.”
Asha guided Max’s fingers for a few moments. Max smiled as Asha suddenly had a sharp intake of breath. The guidance was over then, Max was more sure of herself. And she was a quick learner, listening to Asha’s reactions, seeing what gave her the most pleasure. And she was a quick learner.
“God, Max would die if she saw me right now,” Original Cindy said as she laid in the bed beside Alec. She was glad the oral treatment had been enough for him.
“Do you care?”
“That’s my boo, of course I care”
“What’s up with you and Max, for real?” Alec asked.
“We’re just friends,” Original Cindy snapped. “For real.”
“All right,” Alec said. “Whatever you say.”
“You know, this doesn’t change,” Original Cindy began.
“I’m not stupid,” Alec told her.
“You should go,” Cindy said.
“Why?”
“Max might come home,” Cindy said turning away. “Don’t think you got bragging rights.”
He grabbed her chin and turned it toward him. “It’s not about that,” he told her. then gave her a long confident kiss. Then he got up, got dressed and was gone.
Max lay awake with the other woman curled in her arms. She had never noticed how beautiful she was before. She completely understood what Sketchy had said now, even if it had been a cheesy one liner. But if she were making genetically engineered perfection in a lab, she’d want them to be as beautiful as the girl in her arms. All the questions in her mind before this moment didn’t seem to matter anymore. All that mattered was this moment and this woman. She kissed her eyebrow and her the corner of her mouth. She traced her finger along the other woman’s arm. Such beautiful creamy skin. She didn’t want to move, so she didn’t. And she chose to sleep, doing so without nightmares.
