1.3: The Rumor
Mie: I don’t see Harold.
Mick: My mom went into labor. He took her to the hospital.
Mie: Did she have the baby yet?
Mick: No.
Mie: Does she know what it is?
Mick: A girl. Sad thing is, we don’t really have anything. We didn’t prepare at all, there’s nothing for her at home.
Mie: My mom’s friends threw her a baby shower for Michael, when he was born I mean. They wanted to do it before, but he arrived earlier than expected.
Mick: My mom doesn’t have those kind of friends.
Mie: Well, here’s something for you. I’ll get something for the baby later.
Mick: Thanks, and don’t worry about the baby. I’m sure Nana will have everything ready by the time she comes home.
(Deven headed over to the refreshment table where Stephany was currently hanging out)
(Deven suddenly felt bad. Here Stephany was, dressed all nice, and Mick hadn’t noticed at all.)
