1.3: The Rumor
(Mie and Mick stepped out into the hospital hallway to say good-bye.)
Mick: Thanks for coming with me.
Mie: Sorry your party got cut short.
Mick: Doesn’t matter, I didn’t want a party. I just wanted to spend time with you.
Mie: Me?
Mick: (inhales and confesses) I wanted to ask you to be… my date. I really really like you. I like Stephany too, but not the way I like you. Ever since the day we did that ‘getting to know you’ exercise, you’ve been the only thing on my mind. And—
(Suddenly Mie leaned over and kissed him. It was brief and slightly akward, but in a good way.)
