(As for the Carrs, Raymond had returned Shanice’s call and they had arranged for him to visit the Carr house and have dinner with the family. And After a nice dinner with the Carrs, he volunteered to help Shanice wash the dishes while his sister, Nicole, played with Mellissa in her room.)
Shanice: You know, you don’t have to do this, help wash dishes I mean.
Raymond: I wanted to.
Shanice: So… what do you think?
Raymond: I think your step-mother’s a nice woman. Nicole likes her, she likes Mark and Mellissa. I’m re-considering Kelly Kids Kare as her pre-school.
Shanice: Good.
Raymond: Thank you for introducing me to your family
Shanice: They’re not really my family.
Raymond: Yes they are. I don’t know why you say they’re not when it’s so obvious you love them.
Shanice: I don’t… I like them sometimes I guess.
Raymond: You love them Shanice.
(Shanice decided not to argue with him about it.)
