(Deven walked away from Mick and Stephany cut him off mid-stride.)
Stephany: You’re horrible
Deven: What?
Stephany: I heard what you said to Mick. He’s your friend and he’s hurting right now. He cares about Mie, more than you’ve ever cared about a girl that way. Don’t hate on him for having something you don’t.
(Then, without waiting for a reply, she walked away from him and walked straight up to Mick.)
Stephany: You okay?
Mick: Yeah, maybe Deven’s right. Maybe I should just give up on me and Mie.
Stephany: Do you really believe you should?
Mick: No. I thought, making the basketball team was going to be my toughest challenge this year. And now I have that, the team I mean, it means nothing if Mie’s not in my life.
Stephany: She cares about you too much not to be in your life.
